Celebs Go Dating’s Anna Williamson has hinted how The Chase star’s journey could end after he went viral for ‘falling asleep’ during his first romantic meet up on the show.

Despite being unexperienced in the dating world, relationship guru Anna Williamson told us that she believes Mark was a “fantastic signing” from the E4 production team. She also hinted at how his dating journey will end, following its turbulent start.
“Mark is fantastic, he’s been a brilliant signing,” dating coach Anna told the Record. “Well done to the casting for welcoming Mark and of course, well done to Mark for wanting to come on.”
Anna also touched on Mark’s TikTok viral moments following his appearance on Wednesday.
“We knew that was going to happen,” Anna admitted, suppressing a laugh before recalling how the quiz whizz – known as The Beast – yawned his way through his date with Natalie, before mistakingly attempting to drink a candle instead of his drink.

Ahead of his debut on the show, Mark said: “I’ve been single for most of my life. I’m a little bit on the spectrum.” Mark says he finds human signals much harder than trivia. “Facts are easy, people are complicated,” he added.
In the scenes aired on Wednesday,Mark could be seen struggling to stay awake and at one point even closed his eyes for several seconds. He had them shut for so long that show narrator Rob Beckett humorously remarked he was “dropping off”.
Rob then added: “Catching 40 winks whilst eating is a skill.” In his previous love life off screen, Mark was married to Katie, who was 27 years younger than him, from 2014 to 2020.
The pair first crossed paths on Facebook in 2010. However, it wasn’t until 2012 when sparks started to fly after Mark invited her to a celebrity special of the show.
After their split, Mark went on to date Hayley Palmer, although the pair went their separate ways just a year later shortly after marking their anniversary in May last year, 2024.
The Sky TV presenter informed her followers at the time: “It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways. We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future.”
