You won’t ever catch Nick Jonas lounging around in his bed.
The Jonas Brothers member, 32, is raising eyebrows after he confessed during a recent appearance on the “Are You Okay?” social media series that he firmly believes “beds are for sleeping only.”
“I don’t sit on the bed. I don’t eat on the bed. I don’t read a book in bed or watch TV. I can’t do it,” he told host Bri Morales, who responded, “You are robbing yourself of one of the greatest pleasures in life.”
However, Jonas reasoned, “I just don’t like it to get warm. I run hot, it’s a whole thing.”
Jonas’ confession wasn’t that unusual — until he said what came next.
“Do you have a TV in your room?” Morales asked, to which Jonas responded, “I do, yeah. My wife [Priyanka Chopra Jonas] watches it. I’ll pull a seat up next to the bed.”
“That is crazy!” Morales replied.
Fans shared their disbelief over Jonas’ revelation in the comments section of the video on TikTok.
“Pulling a chair next to Priyanka in bed is giving [this] 😭😭😭,” one fan wrote, sharing a photo of a woman resting in a chair next to a man sleeping in a hospital bed.
“The bed thing should have made him not okay 😅,” another user added after Morales ruled that Jonas was OK. (The show sees Morales ask celebrities a series of questions to ultimately determine if they are OK or not OK.)

Unfortunately, it seems Jonas’ confession shattered some fans’ childhood fantasies of tying the knot with the musician.
“I guess it’s a good thing I never got the chance to marry Nick Jonas like I thought I would because PULLING UP A CHAIR NEXT TO THE BED would be such a deal breaker for me 😂,” one person commented.
On the other hand, some people defended Jonas and agreed with him.
“All this taught me is that Nick Jonas is my soulmate,” one fan wrote, while another user added, “The bed thing makes sense though …”
Jonas had even more support in the comments section of the episode’s Instagram post.
“Does nobody understand proper sleep hygiene?!? I stand in solidarity with you @nickjonas,” one person commented.
“It’s giving HE RAISED ME cause the bed comment is so me 😭 watching tv in bed? yeah… never happening 💀,” another user wrote.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed that Jonas and Chopra Jonas, 43, were dating in May 2018. The pair tied the knot in December of that year. Jonas and Chopra Jonas announced in January 2022 that they had welcomed their first child via surrogate, and Us later confirmed in April the baby girl’s name: Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
While Chopra Jonas has yet to comment on her husband’s stance on recreational activities in bed, she did reveal in a July interview with People that they have a weekly bedroom tradition with their 3-year-old daughter.
“Sunday morning snuggles in bed,” she told the outlet. “They have to happen. It’s mandatory.”
