On Tuesday, June 9, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 31, took to social media to share her latest couples activity with hubby Jacob, 30, on the pair’s anniversary trip — spray tans! On her Instagram Stories, she shared a picture of him getting bronzed alongside the overlaid text, “Made Jacob do his first spray tan to get rid of his farmers tan hahahah.”
The sweet moment was the latest update the couple gave followers from their trip to celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary.
The day before, Mayci shared a post on Instagram commemorating the date, showing off the eight dozen roses Jacob got her to mark eight years of marriage. “I am a lucky girl❤️” she wrote in her caption.
Jacob also shared touching words of his own in a post on his Instagram Stories the following day, writing, “Been married for 8 years and we’ve learned a thing or two about marriage and maintaining a strong relationship.”
The reality TV personality continued, “At dinner, Mayci and I both agreed that one key aspect that has helped us is not taking yourself too seriously. People needing to be right and egos will chip away at relationships over time.”

Mayci and Jacob tied the knot in 2018. The pair share kids Harlow, 4, and Charli, 11 months, and Mayci is also a mom to Hudson, 9.
The Neeleys’ marriage milestone follows several others for Mayci over the last few months. In March, Mormon Wives released its fourth season, and last year, she put out her debut book, Told You So.

The memoir charts her teenage years growing up in the Mormon Church, how she lost the father of her first child in a car accident while she was pregnant and the breakout success of MomTok over the last few years.
Speaking to PEOPLE in March, she opened up about the reception to the book — calling the “best part” of the process “seeing how many women have DMed me and how many people it’s impacted.”
But, Mayci acknowledged, she had also seen criticism that the book was “so poorly written” or “so elementary,” to which she said some readers didn’t fully grasp what she was going for. “I’m not writing super eloquently in it, you know what I mean?” she said. “I’m just writing down my thoughts in that moment. So I think that some people maybe didn’t understand that.”

It was still “hard” to hear some of the backlash, with Mayci adding, “I put it all out there, and then I get a lot of criticism for the writing style and stuff. And it’s like, well, OK. It was supposed to be like a diary.”
“But other than that,” she concluded, “the impact is so much louder than the criticism, and it’s been honestly amazing overall. I’m really happy I did it.”
