Kim Kardashian has reinforced her earlier condemnation of President Donald Trump’s contentious ICE raids, as nearly 200,000 individuals have now faced deportation.
This week, the reality television personality took time to highlight Trump and his intensified deportation initiatives since his return to the White House.
Kim had previously expressed her disapproval of Trump’s “inhumane” ICE operations occurring in Los Angeles and nationwide.
Despite being criticized for her original remarks about Trump, the 44-year-old declined to resign from her position.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, Kim utilized her platform at Diane Von Furstenberg’s DVF Awards to again confront Trump’s immigration enforcement.
While receiving recognition for her prison reform advocacy, Kim stated, “In the news, you hear, ‘Oh, it’s about people who have committed these crimes and they’re trying to help out our country.’ But then you hear about all of the people who have worked so hard to build our country, and so many people who are such a part of our country getting affected.”
She added, “People I know. People my friends know. You want to believe that there’s a powerful message in protection, but then you see that it’s not really happening like that. It’s really tough, but I think that we have to do what we can to protect the people who have really supported and built our country.”
Kim has previously voiced her opposition to Trump’s ICE raids in Los Angeles, which sparked public outrage and led to protests, some of which escalated into violence.

The majority of these raids were concentrated in downtown L.A., specifically targeting the Fashion District, a Westlake Home Depot, and other areas with large immigrant populations.
In the midst of this turmoil, Kim took to Instagram to share her thoughts with her 355 million followers, writing, “When we’re told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals – great. But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what’s right.”
She went on to say, “Growing up in LA, I’ve seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city. They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, coworkers, and family.”
Kim ended her heartfelt post by stating, “No matter where you fall politically, it’s clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants. We can’t turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely. There HAS to be a BETTER way.”
These comments follow Kim Kardashian‘s previous collaboration with Trump during his initial term as president, where she advocated for criminal justice reform.
Throughout his first term, Trump and Kim had several meetings as she strived to lessen the sentences of nonviolent drug offenders such as Alice Marie Johnson, Crystal Munoz, Judith Negron, Tynice Hall, and others.
