Simpson stays similarly tight-lipped, but begins to open up when asked if they are in town to see Ashlee Simpson Ross, who kicked off a residency at The Venetian Resort on Friday night.
“Yes, absolutely,” says Simpson. “We’re here to see Ashlee.” She goes on to say that she is proud of her younger sister, who sold out the first two nights of the residency and went on to add five more dates in September. Asked about the “Pieces of Me” crooner’s potential song choices for the show, Simpson says, “It’s all gonna be a surprise for me.”
Simpson and Johnson, both 45, share three children—Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6—though it seems they left the kids at home for their Vegas jaunt.

Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.
