The Detroit Tigers wrap up their six-game road trip with one more meeting with the Kansas City Royals on Sunday afternoon, the final game of their three-game weekend series.
The Tigers had a huge offensive output in the first game of the series. However, in front of a national audience on Saturday night, Detroit’s bats failed to get runners across home plate. The team managed to score first in the third inning, but that ended up being all it had in the second game of the series. The Royals used two home runs, including a two-run dinger from Bobby Witt Jr. in the eighth, to give the home team a 3-1 win.
