Tracee Ellis Ross’ $100K Bling Snatched Amid L.A. Burglary Wave

The crimes against celebrities in Los Angeles continue, with Tracee Ellis Ross joining the ever-growing list of victims. 

The sensational actress, best known for her role as Rainbow in “Black-ish,” lost several valuables over the weekend after thieves broke into her home. Fortunately, she was out of town when the incident happened.

Tracee Ellis Ross is the daughter of the “Queen of Motown Records,” Diana Ross, and her first husband, Robert Ellis Silberstein. She has made a name for herself outside her famous last name through acting and other ventures.

Tracee Ellis Ross Joins The LA Burglary Victims

According to new reports, Ross’s stunning home in L.A. was burglarized in her absence on Sunday, August 31. The incident occurred early in the morning when three intruders broke into the residence through a rear glass door and ransacked the place.

They were long gone when Ross’s staffers arrived at the home and reported the crime around 12:30 a.m. Police told NBCLA that the thieves escaped with over $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags, but were caught on the property’s security camera.

No arrests have been made, making Ross another victim of the rampant celebrity-targeted crimes in the area. The list included music icon Lionel Richie, whose Beverly Hills home burglary led to the arrest of a suspect in August.

Other Celebrity Burglaries In LA

Dodgers superstar Yoshinobu Yamamoto faced an attempted break-in at his Hollywood Hills home in July. A month prior, thieves invaded Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home while he was on a promotional tour for his new movie “F1.”

The Hollywood veteran’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, experienced a terrifying encounter in May when a man rammed his car through the front gates of her Bel Air home. The home invasions continued on special occasions like Valentine’s Day, with Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban getting burglarized in February.

Hollywood icon Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were robbed last August when burglars broke into their Pacific Palisades residences. Dodgers players Max Muncy and Freddie Freeman were burglarized in 2023, with LAFC striker Olivier Giroud joining the list in February 2025.

Inside Ross’ Ultimate Zen Home

The burglary incident might ruin the peaceful atmosphere of Ross’s L.A. home. Hello Magazine covered the stunning residence in 2021, labeling it the ultimate Zen den for its calmness and relaxing features.

The living room had blue walls and a massive L-shaped grey sofa that housed Ross’s meditation cushion. The area has made several appearances on her social media page, with Ross once claiming the couch was where “good things happen.”

The property’s tranquil atmosphere continued with a spacious kitchen with white cupboards, worktops, and bronze fittings. Ross’s garden featured multiple lemon trees, which she grows and proudly flaunts in her social media updates.

The Actress Built A Name For Herself Outside Her Famous Family

According to a 2024 report by 21Ninety, Ross was worth $16 million, an impressive sum she garnered through hard work instead of relying on her famous family. As an actress, she starred in hit TV shows like “Girlfriends” and popular movies like 2023’s “American Fiction.”

However, Ross gained stellar achievements as Rainbow in “Black-ish.“ The role earned her six Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award. She reportedly made $60,000 per episode during the first season, then $200,000 per episode after the show’s syndication.

Besides acting, Ross made a name for herself as a businesswoman by founding Pattern Beauty, a hair care line focused on curls and coils. She raved about the venture in an interview, noting she always dreamt of creating products that catered to Black women.

Ross’s desire to create a beauty empire for Black women might stem from her past. The Blast reported in 2022 that she had opened up about feeling uncomfortable in her skin while growing up.

The TV personality declared she was proud of the woman she became, noting she learned the importance of cultivating happiness and finding a life that matched her energy. She reflected on her past, stating that young girls were taught to dream of their wedding.

Ross claimed she fell into the same category as a child, dreaming of her wedding and believing it would complete her because her parents filled her head with that message. Eventually, she realized she needed to dream of her future and make those dreams come true.
