As expected, things escalated while Carpenter and Meyers sipped drinks, traded jokes, and tackled a series of games. Highlights included “Spill the Tea,” a truth-or-drink challenge where Carpenter opted to sip rather than answer a question about her hit song “Manchild.”
The duo upped the absurdity by answering questions while wearing red-light therapy face masks. Then they took turns reading complicated barista orders that earned them extra drinks when fumbled—a game during which Carpenter did a Steve Urkel impression and revealed that her first acting gig was on Law and Order: SVU at age 12.
But the real comedy gold came in a game of “Pet Sounds,” introduced by Meyers and played over even more drinks. The duo attempted to mimic animal noises, with Carpenter’s raccoon and walrus impressions and Meyers’s own vocal spoofs prompting them to joke about being in the next Zootopia movie.
