Alt-rock’s rising force LØLØ is kicking off a thrilling new chapter with the release of her latest single, “american zombie.” Arriving on the heels of her signing with Fearless Records and her Warped Tour debut, the track dropped this New Music Friday (Sept. 5).
A twisted yet heartfelt love song, “american zombie” tells the story of falling for someone who’s destructive, flawed, and maybe even “half-dead inside”—but impossible to resist. Sonically, the track blends indie-pop and grunge textures with haunting lyricism.

“‘american zombie’ is probably the most unhinged love song I’ve ever written,” LØLØ shared. “It’s about being drawn to someone completely wrecked but still captivating—someone you know could destroy you, but you fall for them anyway.” That dangerous allure comes to life in the official music video, starring a literal zombie love interest. This release follows LØLØ’s recent single “the devil wears converse” and signals the start of a new creative era after the deluxe edition of her debut album falling for robots and wishing I was one.
Currently, LØLØ is touring with Simple Plan, Bowling For Soup, and 3OH!3, bringing her high-energy performances to packed crowds before heading out on her own U.S. headline run starting November 6 in Buffalo, NY. She’ll also hit the stage at the Orlando edition of Warped Tour on November 15.
