The post The Chair Company First Look: Tim Robinson Makes It Weird for New HBO Comedy Series appeared first on Consequence.
2025 is a year of Tim Robinson trying new things: First, he starred in his very own A24 comedy Friendship, now streaming on Max, and now he has an HBO comedy series coming in October. The Chair Company, created by Robinson and longtime collaborator Zach Kanin, will star Robinson as a man “investigating a far-reaching conspiracy… after an embarrassing incident at work.”
The cast also includes Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, Will Price, and Joseph Tudisco, with Lou Diamond Phillips playing a recurring role. Bell, Lillis, and Price appear to play the family of Robinson’s character, as evidenced by the first-look photo released by HBO. The other photos indicate that whatever mystery is being investigated, Robinson will likely find a way to make it weird. (Also, for those who saw Friendship, sandwiches appear to remain a recurring theme in Robinson’s work.)
