Country singer Randy Travis, 66, is thrilling fans with a jam-packed tour schedule, and he seems to be having the time of his life. A new post on the singer’s Instagram page gave everybody a taste of what’s been happening as Travis travels around the country.

The caption for Travis’ Instagram post read, “Randy is grateful to be back on the road, and the past few weeks have been unforgettable!”

The singer’s tour is named “The More Life Tour,” and the Instagram post caption suggested there are still tickets available for many of the dates coming through the fall.

A handful of photos were included in the post, and they showed highlights of Travis’ recent tour stops. In the coming weeks, Travis will perform in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri, and then head south to Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.

October dates take Travis to Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and the country star has dates scheduled until late November through other areas of the United States.

A social media post shared on September 8 showed Travis interacting with fans. The caption read, “Meeting the fans fills Randy’s heart, and we’re excited to be back on the road next week with the original band and James Dupré!”

The video included in that post showed Travis seated in a wheelchair, and fans came to sit in chairs placed on either side of him to take photos. Many of the images in the newest Instagram post also showed Travis seated much of the time during his tour stops.

The enthusiastic post about Travis feeling grateful to be on the road again comes just a couple of weeks after his wife, Mary Travis, spoke out about the family’s struggles after his stroke in 2013. On August 26, she told Fox News that after her husband’s stroke, doctors suggested she should “pull the plug.”

However, she shared, she felt there was “never a doubt” that Travis would recover. Not only had the country singer had a serious stroke, but for a couple of years after that, he experienced multiple infections and other significant health issues.

Mary recalled, “The doctors were just saying, ‘He just doesn’t have the strength to get through this.'” Despite being told “it was time to say goodbye,” Mary leaned into her confidence that he would recover.

“That’s when I went to him. That was the moment that I knew that Randy Travis was gonna make it because he squeezed my hand and a tear went down his face. And I said, ‘He’s still fighting,'” she explained.

Fox News noted that before his stroke, Randy had also dealt with congestive heart failure.

Despite his serious health problems, he has continued to create music and tour. Mary travels with him and is on stage as well. “I give a bit of background as far as the music, the musicians, Randy, the stroke, a song, the [artificial intelligence he uses], of course,” she noted.

The singer’s fans are thrilled he’s continuing to tour.

One fan shared, “We were at the SLC concert and loved it! There weren’t too many dry eyes in the venue!”

“The fans have been waiting eagerly—now they finally have their Randy back. Even if it’s a little different, he’s celebrating with his fans,” another fan noted.

“I was at the concert at Butte Montana and it was so fabulous! So glad I made the drive from Canada to attend, one of the best concerts I have attended. Thank you Randy for your talent and continuing to share your legendary music with us,” someone else commented.
