Prince Harry’s future with the royals could evolve following his recent trip to the U.K.
A royal source told the Daily Mail that this past week could be the start of Harry, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, becoming more involved with his family following Harry’s reconciliation meeting with King Charles for the first time in 19 months.
“It’s become clear that Harry now regrets some of his actions,” the insider told the outlet. “ He wants to reset his relationship with his family and with the people of the UK.”
“It’s hard to see him ever coming back to live in Britain but this may be the start of something that at least allows them to be a functioning wider family again,” the insider added.
The claims come on the heels of comments made by Harry’s spokesman, who, per People, said the Duke of Sussex “loved” being back in the UK and “catching up” with his good causes and friends.

As the National Examiner previously revealed, peace talks between Charles and Harry began on July 9 at London’s Royal Over-Seas League. Representing the King was Communications Secretary Tobyn Andreae, while the Sussexes were represented by Meredith Maines, the U.S.-based Chief Communications Officer, and Liam Maguire, who heads their public relations team in the UK.
The summit marked the first step toward rebuilding Charles and Harry’s strained relationship. A source shared Harry “is determined to reconcile with his father, even if it means leaving Meghan behind in the U.S. She’s devastated, because she doesn’t want to lose Harry.”
It is believed the last time Charles saw his youngest son was at a brief 30-minute meeting in London in early 2024 after the king disclosed his cancer diagnosis.
