It’s tiiiiiime! Mariah Carey is making Vegas merry again.
On Monday, the five-time Grammy winner announced Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Las Vegas, a 10-date holiday stint at Dolby Live at Park MGM: “Excited to bring Christmastime to the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Vegas!” she wrote on Instagram.
The engagement opens Friday, Nov. 28 (the day after Thanksgiving) and runs through Dec. 13, 2025 on the same stage that hosted her Celebration of Mimi residencies in 2024 and 2025.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 20, with presales for MGM Rewards, Live Nation and Ticketmaster beginning Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PT. According to reports, one dollar from every ticket benefits The Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah.
Mounting Health Concerns
Various reporting over the summer sparked health concerns for the singer, after some video leaked showing her slurring her words at the MTV VMAs after-party earlier this month. Carey had won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award that night, which led to criticism over her speech and accusations of lip singing her performance.
She also received backlash in June, when viewers described her BET Awards appearance as “robotic,” with one X user describing her as looking “spaced out.“
Some Fans Call For Her to “Rest” After the Holidays
While Carey’s Christmas season usually sparks cheer, the reaction to her Vegas residency is split.
“Hopefully after this one, you get some much needed rest, queen ❤️” one concerned fan wrote in the comments section of her Instagram announcement.
“You need to rest, that’s for sure!” another added. “This amount of shows isn’t doing you any good. There are many criticisms about your shows. I love you, but I can’t just overlook it when it comes to your health.”
One user shared: “Babe skip the xmas concert for a while will be good for your health…just promote the new album and relax….” with another adding, “Mariah, you need to rest i love you with all of my heart but lately your unique shine and bright is missing ❤️🩹 please, stay well and health.”
Some framed Vegas as a pragmatic middle ground.
“I know many are concerned about her health and believe she should just rest. I can’t even say I disagree. But I think this is a step in the right direction,” one user chimed in. “She’s not touring this time, at least she’s staying in one place and doing a short stint of shows. This will allow her to rest more in between shows by not having to travel.”
Other defenders pushed back on some of the criticism:
“Don’t listen to the haters. You know your body. You’ll rest when you want. You’ll always be the queen!!” one fan wrote.
“Please take a year off of Christmas,” another added. “Focus the energy on [the new album] Here For It All. The new album should be getting all of the shine. You need to focus on your health and happiness as well. We the fans – will understand and support you no matter what ❤️ We would rather wait and see you happy and full of energy on stage and live vocals again.”
Recent wins—and What’s Next
The Vegas news follows Carey’s Video Vanguard Award at the Sept. 7 VMAs, where she accepted with a wink: “What in the Sam Hill took you so long?!”
She’s also set to release a new album, Here For It All, on Sept. 26, teasing the title track on Instagram with a bare-piano performance.
