In a year full of celebrations to mark the occasion of their 60th anniversary, Days of Our Lives will be inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame on September 30.
Dressed To The Nines
Deidre Hall (Marlena), James Reynolds (Abe), Paul Telfer (Xander), Abigail Klein (Stephanie), and Eric Martsolf (Brady), along with producers from the show, will be on hand in New York City to accept the Iconic Show Award during the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame’s 33rd Annual Gala. The celebration will take place at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.
Speaking of galas, the residents of Salem will attend a grand gala honoring the legacy of Tom Horton, the beloved Salem patriarch originally played by Macdonald Carey.
The anniversary episode promises a true walk down memory lane, with a lineup of familiar faces returning to Salem for the festivities. Among the guests are Mike (Roark Critchlow), Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Jack (Matthew Ashford), Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), Sami (Alison Sweeney), Will (Chandler Massey), Marie (Maree Cheatham), Steve (Stephen Schnetzer), Eli (Lamon Archey), Lani (Sal Stowers), Eric (Greg Vaughan), Paul (Christopher Sean), and Andrew (Colton Little).
According to the creative team, the special will spotlight Salem’s core families while also setting the stage for the show’s newest chapters following its recent Peacock renewal. But in true DOOL fashion, the gala won’t be without drama. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), now the powerful new hospital owner, will use his influence to launch mysterious experiments in his private lab—promising that this anniversary is one fans won’t forget.

Since its premiere on November 8, 1965, DOOL has become one of the most iconic and longest-running daytime dramas in television history. Created by Ted and Betty Corday, the show was originally built around the middle-class Horton family in the fictional town of Salem.
