Cardi B named her new album “Am I the Drama?” and based on the lyrics, the answer is a resounding YES. On the 23-track project, the Grammy winner takes aim at several of her industry peers, including Ice Spice, JT of City Girls, and BIA, on the scathing new tracks “Magnet” and “Pretty and Petty.” The disses were so lethal, however, that critics like Joe Budden questioned whether she wrote them herself. Cardi B didn’t let the ghostwriting accusations linger, though, quickly firing back with a post of her own that included receipts to back up her words.
Cardi B Takes Shots At Everybody In New Album
According to a report from PEOPLE, Cardi B blasted a few of her foes in her new album, which became available for streaming on September 19, 2025.
On the album’s third track, “Magnet,” the former “Love & Hip-Hop” star wastes no time coming for JT of City Girls, accusing the rapper of being a “fake friend.”
“Now let’s talk about this hating-a-s b-tch, ungrateful-ass b-tch. I don’t care, met somebody, gotta say it-a-s b-tch / Fake friend-a-s b-tch, a clown-a-s b-tch,” Cardi B raps over the electric beat before seemingly taking shots at JT’s boyfriend, Lil Uzi Vert.
“All that d-ck ridin’, still ain’t get no feature-a-s b-tch (Haha) / She just mad she got a n-gga she be sharin’ bags with (Shh) / My n-gga cheat, but I don’t stick no dildos in his a-s, b-tch (Haha) / You look a hot mess (Hahaha), easily impressed-ass b-tch,” she went on.

Later, on the same song, Cardi B seemingly came for Ice Spice, who many believed threw shade at the mother of three in her 2024 song “BB Belt,” in which she said, “Fallin’ behind like, b-tch, pick up your pace. It was funny ’til I took her place.”
However, Cardi B made it clear in her song that she wasn’t afraid of anyone taking her place in the industry, calling the 25-year-old a “snow-face b-tch,” later rapping, “Whose spot is you takin’? My spot’s forever, ho, I’m like a Dalmatian.”
She Also Shades BIA In ‘Pretty and Petty’
In the song “Pretty and Petty,” Cardi B comes for rapper BIA, mentioning her directly.
“Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head,” she opened the song with before coming for her physical appearance, calling her “Diarrhea BIA.”
“I’d rather die on the surgery table before I gotta walk around here lookin’ like you,” Cardi B said.
During a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Cardi B explained her decision to mention BIA by name, claiming the rapper had spoken negatively about her children.
“You mentioned my kids tryna be cute,” Cardi B said. “She did her little diss and it was trash… I could’ve [left] it at that, but everything on social media is gonna be seen. When my kids grow up one day and they see that you mentioned them, they’re gonna ask me, ‘So what you said? What you did [in response]?’ I’m not gonna tell my kids, ‘I felt like she took the high road cause she lost, cause people wasn’t on her side.’ Nah, I’m not sayin’ that to my kids. I’m [gonna be] like, ‘You see how I violated?'”
Critics Claim The ‘WAP’ Rapper Had A Ghostwriter
Budden listened to Cardi B’s new album on his show, “The Joe Budden Podcast,” and gave the rapper her flowers for releasing a solid project.
He also questioned her ability to come up with many of the project’s disses, saying, “Whoever is writing these lines, he is smoking this sh-t.”
Cardi B, however, was not here for the implication that she didn’t write her own bars.
“Whoever wrote it?” she wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “Nah that’s CARDI.. this is my process… I’m a natural roaster and you already know I’m quick with the mouth so I’ll be coming up with lines and I’ll record myself then lay it later.”
Cardi B’s post has since been deleted, but she did share a clip of what appeared to be a rough audio recording of her reciting potential lyrics for the song “Magnet.”
Cardi B Teased She Would Give The Industry ‘Hell’

According to a previous report from The Blast, Cardi B teased that her album would be intense when she first announced the album in June 2025.
In an ominous teaser video shared online, Cardi B could be heard saying, “Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, light, and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now I give them hell.”
She continued, “I learned power’s not giving, it’s taking. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears.”
“I’m not back,” she said, “I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.”
