GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Wednesday, the Community Concerts of the Grand Valley at the Avalon, located at 645 Main Street, will open its 2025-26 season with M5 – The Mexican Brass, a world-class ensemble celebrating 20 years as a brass quintet.
Starting at 7 p.m., the brass ensemble’s program will feature a mix of music genres, including jazz, pop and classical with opera. According to the program, they focus on audience interaction and showmanship to create a “great musical-theatrical experience every night.”
Besides the opening band, other concerts for the Community Concerts of the Grand Valley season include:
The Waddington Brothers, performing on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m., use cowboy and bluegrass music to take their audience on a journey through the American West. The sibling band received first place in 2023 during the annual Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America Convention.
The Bronx Wanderers, performing on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 3 p.m., showcase six decades of pop and rock classics in a high-energy show. Wandering around the globe for 20 years, the band has had a residency in Las Vegas since 2016.
The She Gees, performing on Monday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m., are a dynamic female trio that adds authenticity and freshness while paying homage to the Bee Gees’ music.
ADVERTISEMENTNext Generation Leahy, performing on Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m., performs spirited music and French Canadian step dancing. The six siblings explore a variety of music genres and use instruments like fiddles, cellos, and pianos to bring their unique style of music across North America.
Live from Laurel Canyon, performing on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m., celebrates 60’s and 70’s music from influential folk rock songwriters who lived in the L.A. area of Laurel Canyon, like Buffalo Springfield, Carole King and Jackson Browne.
Individual tickets to the band are available three weeks before the performance date for $39. Community members can purchase season tickets, which include six concerts, for between $90 and $110. Tickets can be purchased online at communityconcertsgrandvalley.org.
