Eleanor the Great Review — June Squibb Delivers the Goods in Scarlett Johansson’s Directorial Debut

After years of delivering incredible performances in front of the screen, Academy Award winner Scarlett Johansson makes her directorial debut in the upcoming Sony Pictures Classics movie Eleanor the Great. Johansson teams with Tory Kamen, who is making her feature film writing debut. June Squibb stars in this drama that debuted earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival.

Eleanor the Great follows the story of a 94-year-old woman named Eleanor who, after the death of her best friend and long-time roommate, leaves Florida for New York City. During a visit to the Manhattan Jewish Community Center, Eleanor ends up in a Holocaust survivor support group where she begins to tell her own story.
