What Brooklyn Peltz Beckham really really wants right now is to focus on his marriage.
The eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham addressed the rumored feud between him and his famous family, explaining that he and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham try to filter out any negativity.
“There’s always going to be people saying negative things,” Beckham told the Daily Mail in an interview published Sept. 24, “but I have a very supportive wife.”
The 26-year-old added, “Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”
And as Beckham — who has been married to Peltz, 30, since 2022 — explained, the duo try not to worry about what is said about their personal lives.
“Everyone is always going to say rubbish,” the “What I See” author continued. “I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”
This is the first time the hot sauce founder has made mention of the alleged rift with his family, which includes his parents as well as siblings Romeo Beckham, 22, Cruz Beckham, 20, and Harper Beckham, 14.
And though the Beckhams have remained mum on where the family members stand, a source with knowledge previously told E! News that the feud may have started after a dramatic moment during Peltz and Beckham’s April 2022 wedding.
“Brooklyn and Nicola were under the impression they were being gifted their first dance by Marc Anthony,” the source told E! News in May. “Marc Anthony announced, ‘Please welcome to the stage the most beautiful woman in the room…Victoria Beckham.’ Brooklyn wasn’t quite sure what to do and was put in an awkward situation.”
Guests were shocked, the insider noted, and “Nicola left the room crying. She eventually came back and was able to collect herself to celebrate the rest of her wedding.”
And while Beckham and Peltz “have made good faith efforts over the years” to connect with his family, the source explained that the relationship is not currently in a great place.
However, a separate source shut down rumors that Brooklyn and Peltz had cut ties with the Beckhams, noting to E! News in June, “This seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth.”
Still, despite a seemingly difficult relationship with his parents and brothers, Beckham and Peltz obviously have a special place in their hearts for younger sister Harper, sharing a sweet birthday message for the teen in July.
“Happy Birthday Harper,” Beckham wrote on his Instagram Story across the picture of Harper posing in between him and Peltz — who reshared the post to her own Story. “We love you.”
As a source told E! News at the time, Beckham has “always had a special bond with Harper, he loves her dearly.”
Nicola Peltz Beckham and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham just renewed their vows, but fans are pointing out that not everyone in their family appeared to be in attendance for the special moment.
