Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould are best friends who know how to have fun.
Winter, 28, who played middle child Alex Dunphy on the ABC comedy Modern Family, shared photos on Instagram with best friend and roommate Nolan Gould, 27, who played her younger brother Luke, enjoying a Y2K-themed party.
The actors posed in front of a wall plastered with magazine pages featuring some of the biggest stars of the early aughts —Rihanna, Destiny’s Child, Eminem, Avril Lavigne and more — in a combination of silly and sweet poses.
“y2kay💞,” she captioned the memories.
In May, Winter told PEOPLE that she and her former onscreen brother were living together in Los Angeles, noting she splits her time between L.A. and Nashville.
“People ask me about a Modern Family reboot, but Nolan and I are real roommates now. So it’s like we’re having our own little Modern Family reboot, but it’s just the two of us living together. So I see him every day,” she shared at the time.
“I’m not gonna lie, when we sit there at night and we watch, like, Temptation Island together, it’s pretty hilarious. So we have thought about it,” she added, of letting people in on their day-to-day interactions. “We’re just like, people would find this really funny.”

Winter previously shared how close she and Gould became when they were the youngest actors on the popular series, which ran for 11 seasons between 2009 to 2020.
“It was hard,” she said about the show ending and having to say goodbye to the rest of her onscreen family, despite knowing it was time for everyone to pursue other projects.
“We really were like a real family. It was weird knowing it would just be over, and I wouldn’t get to see everybody all the time anymore. It was like, ‘Wait, yeah, wait, we’re not going to be together on Monday?’ So on the one hand, I didn’t want it to end, but at the same time I was ready to start something new as an adult.”
