Colin Jost is not a fan boy — except when it comes to this one A-list athlete!
“I’ve been writing on SNL for 20 years, and the only host I’ve ever asked for their autograph was Eli [Manning],” the Saturday Night Live star, 43, told People at the 2025 Ryder Cup on Thursday, September 25.
“[He’s] the only one I’ve asked because I’m such a Giants fan,” the comedian — who hails from Staten Island, New York — explained. “He just signed it ‘To Colin, Eli.’ It looks almost romantic. It’s such a funny photo.”
The retired NFL star, 44, hosted the hit sketch comedy series in 2012, and also made a cameo when his brother Peyton Manning hosted the show in 2007.

The Primetime Emmy Award winner and the two-time Super Bowl champion recently had a chance to have some fun together as they both played on the same team for the Ryder Cup All-Star Matches on Wednesday, September 24. In the tournament, eight U.S. celebrities competed against eight European ones, with the U.S. group emerging victorious.
“When [Eli] tossed me a golf ball and I caught it, I was like, ‘I’m like a wide receiver!’” Jost gushed, per People. “He really played great, so we lucked out.”
The Pop Culture Jeopardy! host described the win as “the best and perhaps only sports accomplishment of my life.”
