“Charles depends on Catherine more than most realize. He values her composure, her sense of discretion, and her steadiness. He has even spoken of her as the daughter he never had,” a courtier claimed to RadarOnline.com. However, the source revealed that “such closeness isn’t coming without consequences – it stirs unease in other quarters.”
Even a senior aide seconds this statement, saying that “Charles clearly draws strength from Catherine.” One of the main reasons for their bonding is the way Middleton “has handled the demands of royal duty.” Her demeanour has “won” the monarch’s “lasting admiration.” “But her growing influence inside the palace is obvious – and that makes some people uneasy,” claimed the aide.
