Julia Roberts didn’t need to think twice about the element of her life that makes her happy.
Maybe you can guess it — because that’s just what her co-star of their new movie did, in a new interview promoting After the Hunt.
The Oscar-winning actress, 57, along with Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri, were asked about the “element that brings you joy” during their recent group interview with Entertainment Tonight.
After clarifying that it’s joy “in life” they’re talking about, Roberts knew her answer before Garfield could even finish his next thought — as revealed in the interview that was published Sunday, September 28.
Husband “Danny Moder” was Roberts’ answer, to which Edebiri, 29, replied, “I knew you were going to say that!”
“Never changes. Never changes,” Roberts said with a laugh. “Sometimes more. Sometimes medium.”
Roberts and Moder, 56, tied the knot in July 2002 after meeting on the set of The Mexican in 2000, as Us Weekly noted. They welcomed twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, in November 2004, followed by son Henry, 18, in June 2007.
Earlier this month, Roberts shared a story about her standout first meeting with Chloë Sevigny, who also stars in After the Hunt. In the interview with Variety, Roberts described the pre-production jitters that even A-listers feel when collaborating with fellow icons. The situation unfolded at Roberts’ home, where After the Hunt cast members were deep in rehearsal.
The My Best Friends Wedding star also made headlines from other comments made during the same Variety interview this month — when the possibility of a sequel to her 1997 rom-com entered the conversation. Luca Guadagnino, the director of After the Hunt, told Variety he’d direct a potential My Best Friend’s Wedding 2 “in a second.”
Back in July, Dermot Mulroney — who starred in the beloved movie alongside Roberts — told the celebrity.land that “there is talk of a sequel.”
