Prince Harry consistently undermines the British monarchy, “never takes responsibility for anything”, and portrays himself and Meghan Markle as victims, conservative commentator Nile Gardiner has claimed.
Commenting on the Duke of Sussex’s brief meeting with King Charles on September 10 in a post on X on Monday, Mr Gardiner, a former aide to Margaret Thatcher, also alleged that the Duke of Sussex “can’t be trusted”.
The sharp criticism comes amid reports that Charles has rejected Harry’s hopes of returning as a working royal, citing the couple’s controversial US-based projects.
Sources suggest the King is “saddened” by Harry’s claims that royal aides leak details to derail reconciliation efforts.
The ongoing rift, intensified by Harry’s memoir Spare and recent media ventures, shows no signs of resolution as the Sussexes prepare for a New York charity event in October.
