There are two types of people who watch Peaky Blinders: those who watch because it’s THE Peaky Blinders, and others who watch because it’s Cillian Murphy’s Peaky Blinders. No matter which category you belong to, you’re bound to love Peaky Blinders either way. This love will burgeon now more than ever; the Shelby legacy is set to live on beyond what we have seen so far.
Following a feature film sequel on Netflix starring Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, the streaming giant has renewed the franchise with two seasons for the sequel show. The new show will explore a new generation of Shelbys, set about 10 years after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

The log lines read: “After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.”
Other details, including the cast, are still under wraps, except that the new seasons will each consist of six 60-minute episodes. While Cillian Murphy’s return as Shelby seems unlikely, he will return to the franchise as the executive producer.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is set to pick up right where the show ended and is slated to release sometime in 2026.
