Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has finally broken his silence regarding the mounting allegations against him, including two convictions for transportation to engage in prostitution, and admitted, “I hate myself.”
Diddy spoke directly to the court before Judge Subramanian delivered his final sentencing ruling, describing his conduct as “disgusting, shameful,” and “sick” as he addressed the public for the first time since his arrest more than a year ago.
He was convicted on the prostitution charges following a trial that lasted several weeks and concluded on July 2. Nevertheless, he was cleared of the more severe charges involving sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

Diddy entered a not guilty plea to all charges and proclaimed his innocence during the entire legal process. He persists in rejecting all accusations of misconduct leveled against him, including those outlined in civil litigation.
He approached the microphone in the crowded courtroom and spoke from a document he held. “I want to thank you for giving me the chance to finally speak up for myself,” he started, reports The Mirror US.
The disgraced rap mogul continued: “I have been humbled and broken to my core. I hate myself right now. I’ve been stripped down to nothing,” pleading, “I have changed for the better. I can’t change the past but can change the future. I ask your honor for mercy. I beg your honor for mercy.”
He was taken into custody in September 2024 in New York City after a grand jury indictment. Federal investigators launched their probe into the Bad Boy CEO following multiple civil lawsuits filed against him, beginning with one from former girlfriend Cassie Ventura in November 2023.
Her assault accusations were rejected by Diddy, and the matter was resolved within 24 hours without any admission of guilt.
However, numerous additional civil lawsuits containing similar accusations were brought against him. He refuted the allegations, but many cases continue to proceed.
Several civil lawsuits against the performer were thrown out, but the majority remain active without a clear timeline, particularly as the artist has been entangled in the criminal proceedings. Since September 2024, Diddy has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with numerous bail attempts rejected.
The judge dismissed a bail petition filed right after the ruling. Cassie’s legal representative voiced worries about his client’s wellbeing should he be freed.
Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, wrote, “Ms. Ventura believes that Mr. Combs is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community.”
