Oct. 9 (UPI) — Bad Bunny is set to be honored as Billboard’s Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century during the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards on Oct. 23.
Bad Bunny is receiving the award due to his performance on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Hot Latin Songs charts throughout the first 25 years of the century.
The rapper and singer’s albums and singles have repeatedly topped the charts with historic consistency, Billboard said in a press release, noting how Bad Bunny has set a new standard for Latin music.

The recognition from Billboard comes after Bad Bunny was named Spotify’s most-streamed artist worldwide for three consecutive years. Bad Bunny also holds the record for the highest-grossing tour in a single year.
The 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live from Miami’s James L. Knight Center at 8 p.m. EDT on Oct. 23 on Telemundo and stream on Peacock.

Bad Bunny will be headlining the Super Bowl LX halftime show on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, Calif.
