CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has brought back the Boo at the Zoo Halloween tradition for 2025, transforming the park into a family-friendly Halloween destination.
The popular event, running until Oct. 26, will be held Thursdays through Sundays from 5-9 p.m. It offers families safe trick-or-treating and live entertainment throughout the zoo’s decorated grounds.
General admission includes trick-or-treating along Wayside Furniture Way, themed activities and crafts near the main entrance, complimentary access to a 4D Theater showing of “The Little Vampire,” and Boomerang Train rides to the primate, cat and aquatics and Australian Adventure exhibits provided by MetroHealth.
The first 1,000 guests each evening will receive complimentary treat bags courtesy of Meijer. Families can also participate in meet-and-greets with costumed characters for photo opportunities.
Visitors will find themed zones spread throughout the zoo. The Welcome Plaza and Palava Hut area features costume characters, a hay maze and midway carnival games. At Waterfowl Lake, guests can explore Dragon’s Landing, Savanna Path, and Pumpkin Path. The primate, cat and aquatics area offers a bubble experience, food and beverage stands, and additional costume characters.
The Australian Adventure and Amphitheater section will host Kooky Cellists, magician performances, candy stations, and a dance party. For those seeking additional thrills, the Eagle Zip Adventure will operate during the event with separately sold tickets.
Tickets will be unavailable for Oct. 24 due to a special event. Admission can be purchased at ClevelandMetroparks.com/Boo.
