A scary scene unfolded during Billie Eilish’s concert Thursday night in Miami when a fan leaned over a railing and yanked the singer into the barrier before being separated by security.
The incident occurred as Eilish was leaving the stage and slapping hands with fans on her way out. Video showed that someone leaned forward through a group of fans, grabbed her by the arm and yanked her down. Eilish was helped up by security and did not appear to be injured, but she made her way out without interacting with fans from there.
A second video circulating on social media, shows a fan falling backwards away from the scene as another fan, wearing a red bandana, followed and yelled at the fan.
Eilish’s brother, Finneas shouted out that person on social media for taking up for his sister.
“Red bandana girl from last night’s show rules,” he wrote.
NBC News reported that the Miami Police Department said the person who grabbed Eilish was ejected from the venue, but no criminal charges are pending.
Eilish has previously spoken out about the behavior of fans at shows. She specifically mentioned fans throwing things onto stage, and said she had been hit before.
“People just get excited and it can be dangerous,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. “I have mixed feelings about it, because when you’re up there it blows. But you know it’s out of love and they’re just trying to give you something. You’re in a vulnerable position but I’ve been getting hit with stuff for like years.”
