Meghan Markle’s supposed “non-feminist” behaviour has been revealed by a body language expert following the Duchess’s trip to New York.
Meghan and Harry recently spent time in New York, attending numerous events, such as the Project Healthy Minds gala, where they were crowned “Humanitarians of the Year.”
The pair also dined with pal Ed Sheeran while they were in the city. Following their trip, Meghan shared a compilation video of their time in the Big Apple. In the video, she showed behind-the-scenes clips of her getting ready, spending time with Harry, and hugging Gloria Steinem.
However, since the video was released on Instagram, body language expert Judi James has delved into how Meghan acted in it, saying her behavior was “non-feminist.”
“Despite head-hugging Gloria Steinem to look like a loving family member, Meghan’s video seems to feed into the very non-feminist cliché about the woman being the one with all the shoes, make-up, and designer clothing while the man just hangs around in casual pants looking on and waiting with a wry sense of humor,” Judi explained.
“With his legs crossed at the ankles and one hand on his hip, he looks as though he is waiting for her to get ready. It reminds us of the old traditional cliches about the differences between men and women: women dress up and men just show up.”
This comes as Meghan is expected to attend an event in Washington DC on October 14 for Fortune’s Most Powerful Women.
