Kelly Clarksonhas Maren Morris‘ stamp of approval.
After taking on one of the country star’s hit songs for her latest Kellyoke cover, Clarkson received a special shoutout from Morris for doing justice to her song, “I Hope I Never Fall in Love.”
During the Thursday, Oct. 16 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the host gave a Kellyoke performance with a country twist, taking on the track from Morris’ latest album, DREAMSICLE.
The video of the performance was uploaded to the show’s official Instagram page, where Clarkson’s fans flocked to the comments to praise her on yet another flawless cover—and Morris was one of them.
“Nailed it,” Morris, 35, commented under the video, letting Clarkson know that she approved the American Idol winner’s take on her song.
Meanwhile, fans of both Clarkson and Morris were geeking out over the performance, with one user commending Clarkson for the “AMAZING” song choice.

“Kelly singing a Maren Morris song 🤌🏻 texas royalty,” another fan gushed over the two singers, who both hail from Texas.

Morris’ song “I Hope I Never Fall in Love” is one of the tracks off her fourth studio album, which was released in May 2025.
DREAMSICLE is the first album Morris has released since divorcing ex-husband Ryan Hurd. The pair were married for over five years and share one child together, a son named Hayes.
