Two of Celebrity Traitors’ famous faces have landed roles in a huge new legal drama joining a cast that’s led by Sienna Miller and Dominic West.
The Thursday Murder Club actress Celia Imrie and Ted Lasso‘s Nick Mohammed will be part of the new series, co-produced by streaming giant HBO and Sky.
The duo, who are currently part of the cast of BBC One reality series Celebrity Traitors, will play characters from two warring law firms in the series War.
The new show will follow two fictional prestigious legal offices, the Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne, as they go head-to-head in a major divorce case.
Stopping at nothing to win, as the dramatic case spirals out of control, reputations are soon on the line and loyalties start to fracture.
Celia, 73, and Nick, 45, will star as characters Budgie and Michael Stefanou.

Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed will also be part of the new series, which will star Sienna Miller and Dominic West as the leading stars
The pair join The Crown actor Dominic, 56, as tech giant Morgan Henderson, while Anatomy of a Scandal’s Sienna, 43, plays his estranged wife, film star Carla Duval.
The show synopsis teases that their ‘scandalous divorce case’ will ‘send shockwaves through boardrooms, bedrooms and courtrooms’ as part of the action.
Lost Boys and Fairies star Shaheen Jafargholi, Protection’s Akiya Henry, Mrs Harris Goes To Paris actress Rose Williams and Big Boys’ Camille Coduri also join the cast.
Aran Murphy, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Mark Quartley and Steve Furst will all also feature.
The series, according to Deadline, was given the green light last summer after being developed by Sky, with HBO getting on board later in the project.
It’s being produced by a star-studded team, including show runner George Kay, who was behind the creation of Idris Elba hit Hijack on Apple TV+.
Kay, who will work alongside Disney+ Catastrophe’s creator Ben Taylor, also worked on Netflix series Lupin and police procedural Criminal.
War, which has no set air date and is thought to be currently filming, will air on HBO in the US and will hit screens on Sky in the UK.

Both Celia and Nick have recently been starring in the BBC competition Celebrity Traitors, and have so far managed to avoid ‘murder’ or banishment from the competition, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
Earlier this week, fans became convinced that Celia, who is best know for roles in Nanny McPhee, St Trinian’s, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, has been hiding a huge secret.
The first season of Celebrity Traitors is nearly halfway through, with six out of the 19 famous faces who started the competition being either murdered or banished.
The three Traitors – Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns, and Alan Carr – have managed to keep their identity a secret, putting the Faithful’s £100k jackpot under threat.
However, fans now believe that one Faithful could be getting close to finding out who has been hiding as a Traitor.
Taking to Reddit, a fan theory has teased that Celia could be secretly working as a new ‘detective’ character.
They theorised: ‘Celia is secretly a detective character. When she makes a correct guess at the roundtable, Claudia surreptitiously responds to her with a wink. No wink means her guess isn’t a Traitor.
‘The existence of a detective in the game will be revealed to us sometime this coming week, then at some point later on to the Traitors.’

Viewers think they have seen Claudia ‘winking’ at Celia when she makes a correct guess at the round table discussions
Explaining their thought process, they continued: ‘The very first 30 secs of episode one, in which Claudia was hanging portraits of the players. She says, “as for this one…” then Celia’s portrait winks at her.
‘Claudia replies, “knockout”. None of that makes any sense – but it all happens in such a blur you forget it immediately.’
Elsewhere, Celia left viewers and her fellow Celebrity Traitors in stitches as she made an X-rated remark and broke into a loud wail during last Thursday’s episode.
The actress was called ‘the highlight of the series’ during the task which saw the contestants try and increase their prize fund.
The celebrities split up into two teams with one team running into the forest where they had to listen to the sound of wailing banshees.
They then had to gather around a well and mimic the wail into the well, with the other team waiting at another well to listen to the sound and then sing it out loud to match it to a locket.
As the challenge began, Celia and her team ran past the well and gathered around it.
Lucy Beaumont said: ‘Well, you know what you do in a well, don’t you?’ to which Celia responded: ‘Put the p***y in.’
The Celebrity Traitors airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on BBC One at 9pm and is available to stream on iPlayer.
