Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal had an adventurous visit to First We Feast’s Hot Ones, which ended with the Spider-Man star being the first to ever hurl on-camera.
While the moment was a surprise for all involved, it isn’t a surprise for anyone watching Holland’s promo run for The Odyssey, since the actor spoiled the moment during an interview with costar Matt Damon.
Holland is infamous for his inability to keep things a secret — at least this time Marvel can’t be upset!
Tom Holland may be past his movie-spoiling days, but he clearly still can’t keep a secret!
The Spider-Man: Brand New Daystar and co-star Jon Bernthal appeared on the latest Hot Ones episode on Thursday, during which Holland made history by being the first star to ever vomit on-camera.
Holland had clearly been struggling with the spiciness of the wings throughout the First We Feast interview, but he had reached his limit by the time the episode had concluded. When he, Bernthal, and host Sean Evans were posing for the video’s introductory shot, Holland began coughing uncontrollably and quickly bent over to hurl.
While the placement of the table kept the star from view, it’s easy to grasp what happened by the shell-shocked look on his face. But Bernthal definitely wasn’t phased; the Punisher star clapped his co-star on the shoulders, yelling, “Let’s go! Let’s go! Take a picture of it!”

Holland, clearly shocked but laughing at himself, tells the production crew that they “can use that” as Bernthal hands him a napkin. “Look, Louis Vuitton, I got none of it on my clothes,” Holland proudly proclaimed to the further laughter of the crew.
When Bernthal asked Evans if anyone has ever puked before, he replied, “That might be the first on set ever.”
“I love being the first,” Holland gamely responded.
While it was clearly a surprise for everyone on set, the moment might not be such a shock for anyone keeping up with Holland’s promotional tour for his other 2026 blockbuster release, The Odyssey.
It turns out, Holland revealed his unexpected upchuck during a visit to NYT Cooking’s kitchen studio with Matt Damon for their Pizza Interview that was published on July 13.
While assembling pies and chatting about their roles in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the ancient Greek epic, Holland decided to add pepperoni to his pie, noting that he wanted to add something a little “spicier” to his pie. Damon sampled the pepperoni and began coughing, which seemed to trigger Holland’s memory because he went straight into relaying the Hot Ones incident to his co-star.
“Jon Bernthal and I did Hot Ones the other day. I fully vomited on camera,” he shared, to Damon’s visible astonishment. “Full time. Like, I’m standing there. We’re laughing, having a good time and I —”
Damon interjects, saying, “Didn’t I tell you when I did it, I threw up? Off camera, but yeah.”
“And it was also pure milk,” Holland recounted. “Because I’d been nailing the milk.”
The storytelling was quickly curtained as the Spider-Man star noted that NYT “is like, we’re not here to talk about Hot Ones’”
However, even if anyone had been on the lookout for the moment Holland was talking about, it’s fair to say they still didn’t see it coming when it did.
