Prince Andrew latest: New Epstein emails released day after Andrew stripped of titles by King

Andrew’s historic artworks will not make the move to Sandringham with him, reports say.

The priceless items will instead be taken off the walls and given to the Royal Collection Trust, which manages the royal collection, according to The Times.

Paintings and photographs in the home are understood to include Cecil Beaton portraits of the late Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret, and the 19th century oil painting Eugénie, Empress of the French and wife of Napoleon III, by Charles Édouard Boutibonne.

Labour MPs have called on Sir Keir Starmer to follow the King’s lead and strip Lord Peter Mandelson of his titles over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.

Lord Mandelson was fired from his role as ambassador to the US earlier this year after leaked documents revealed the extent of his friendship with the disgraced financier.

He remains a member of the Labour party and a peer in the House of Lords, although has had the Labour whip removed.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Andy McDonald, the MP for Middlesbrough, said the stripping of Mountbatten Windsor’s titles “puts the spotlight back on the Prime Minister’s judgment” over Lord Mandelson.

He said: “The King’s done the right thing, and now the Prime Minister must follow suit as night follows day.

“The King’s shown leadership in respect of his own brother, and Keir Starmer should do the same in terms of Peter Mandelson”.

Kim Johnson, the Labour MP for Liverpool Riverside, said the former ambassador should “definitely be stripped of his peerage”.

A black Land Rover defender with a number plate ending DOY was seen leaving Bishops Gate near Royal Lodge in Windsor just before 8am on Saturday.

Only a driver was in the vehicle as it left the grounds of Windsor Great Park.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has previously been pictured driving a vehicle with the same private number plate.

The brother of Virginia Giuffre said he would love to meet the King as he urged Charles to tell US President Donald Trump to “put your big boy pants on” and release the Epstein files.

Ms Giuffre alleged she was forced to have sex three times with Andrew, including when she was 17 and also during an orgy, after she was trafficked by Epstein.

The former duke has strenuously denied the allegations.

Andrew paid millions to settle the civil sex case with her in 2022, despite insisting he had never met her.

Ms Giuffre’s brother said he would welcome a conversation with the King with “open arms”.

Asked about what he would say if he was contacted by the palace about meeting the King, Sky Roberts told Sky News: “I welcome that conversation with open arms.

“I would love the opportunity to tell my sister’s story to the palace, because when you see somebody face to face, it’s one thing to see somebody on a camera, but when you see them face to face, we could really express that emotion and really get across the story that not only she holds, but also so many survivors out there.

“If the King is saying he stands with survivors and their victims, then meet with us, have a conversation with us.

“We’re real people with real stories that can effect real change and I think my sister did something unprecedented that says advocacy can effect change, advocacy can lead to justice, and it may take a long time, but I would welcome that conversation with the King with open arms.

“I’d be in London tomorrow.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly “pushed” for Andrew to be stripped of his royal titles in a bid for a “cleak break”.

According to the Daily Mail, the pair wanted Andrew out of Windsor – prompting his move to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The Palace reportedly had to balance concerns over Andrew’s mental wellbeing and his legal and constitutional rights, as well as respecting desires from Queen Camilla and the Wales’ to oust the disgraced royal.

King Charles is believed to have spoken to him personally by phone to explain his decision.

MPs are pushing the government to act to remove Andrew from the royal line of succession, according to reports in The Telegraph.

Andrew has been stripped of his royal titles, but still remains eighth-in-line for the throne – something one MP said the public would “not put up with”.

A Labour minister also told the paper they backed removing Andrew from the succession “in principle”.

Calls for Andrew to give evidence over his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein in the US are growing.

In a statement on Friday, Democratic congressman Ro Khanna, a California Democratic representative, who serves on the investigative House oversight committee, told the Guardian: “Andrew should be called to testify before the oversight committee. The public deserves to know who was abusing women and young girls alongside Epstein.”

It comes after UK trade minister Chris Bryant said Mountbatten Windsor should support ongoing investigations in the US.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor may have lost his royal titles, but there are no plans to remove him from the line of succession.

The government said it “fully supports” the Palace’s decision, but would not move to take Andrew out of his eighth place in line for the throne.

The process would require an act of Parliament to formally remove him which would be complex and would need to be agreed with all the Commonwealth realms, including Australia and Canada.

Queen Camilla was “concerned” allegations against Andrew would impact her work with survivors of abuse, reports say.

The Queen has worked for years to support survivors of sexual and domestic violence and highlight organisations supporting victims of rape and sexual assault.
