Millie Bobby Brown has had enough of the press talking about her body and criticizing her appearance, and she’s hitting back at them with a pointed message.
The new mom is standing up for herself amid constant scrutiny over her looks across the media, especially considering her age.
In a chat with British Vogue, Brown opened up about the flurry of negative media attention that has plagued her this year.
“Oh my God, what has she done with her face? Why has she gone blonde? She looks 60 years old!” the actress said, recalling some of the headlines that have been created about her.
The Stranger Things star then explained that it’s not the journalism she has an issue with at all, but rather the negative and intrusive reporting.
“I respect journalism. I love reading articles on my favorite people and hearing what they’re up to. I understand that there’s paparazzi, even though it’s invasive, even though it feels like shit to me – I know that’s your job… But don’t, in your headline, slam me at the get-go. It is so wrong and it is bullying, especially to young girls who are new to this industry and are already questioning everything about it,” she expressed.

Brown also spoke about her infamous Instagram video, in which she called out the bullying by the press earlier this year.
“If me being blonde or wearing more make-up really bothers you, I’m going to address it – not just for myself, but for every other girl who wants to try a new hairstyle or wear a red lip. It’s, like, get off my f—ing case, you know? I am 21. I am going to have fun and play and be myself,” Brown told the outlet.
The heated message to the press comes as speculation mounts that she filed a harassment and bullying claim against her Stranger Things co-star, David Harbour, ahead of filming the fifth and final season of the Netflix show. Brown has not directly addressed the reports and rumors.
Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 premieres on November 26 on Netflix, with Volume 2 arriving with three episodes on Christmas Day, and the big two-hour finale, which will also be playing in theaters, on New Year’s Eve.
