Love Island fans have been tuning into ITV2 nearly every night at 9pm – but a new reality show is set to take over the slot after the Series 13 finale

Devotees of reality TV have been religiously switching on ITV2 at 9pm most evenings for their dose of Love Island.
The thirteenth series of the popular reality programme has been broadcast from Sunday through to Friday on the channel, while also being available to stream on ITVX. Now in its eighth week, the grand finale is fast approaching.
The triumphant couple will be announced on July 27 during a live finale broadcast from the villa, with Bristol-born Maya Jama presenting. As tradition dictates, the victors will walk away with a £50,000 prize fund alongside, with any luck, an enduring romance.
The 2025 series saw Cach Mercer and Toni Laites claim victory in a landmark finale. Late arrival Toni made history as the first American contestant to triumph in the UK version of the show, subsequently appearing on The Celebrity Apprentice and co-presenting Love Island: The Debrief with fellow Series 12 finalists Shakira Khan and Yasmin Pettet.

In other news, Cach was recently confirmed as one of the celebrities taking part in the forthcoming series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. The social media personality commented: “I have grown up watching the show with my family and am so excited to now be part of the cast. Dancing is a huge passion of mine and I can’t wait to learn Ballroom and do the Foxtrot for the first time!”
Current bookmakers’ odds suggest Lorenzo and Julia are favourites to win this year, with Jasmine and Kavan close behind. Nevertheless, the couples must first navigate The Grafties, which airs during this evening’s episode (July 21), reports OK!
The notorious twist takes the form of an awards ceremony, with a selection of highlights from across the series broadcast to the villa. Clips are divided into categories, with the public casting their votes to decide the winners.

Given the show’s gruelling broadcast schedule, viewers can hardly be blamed for wondering how they’ll fill their evenings once 9pm arrives on July 28. Fortunately, there’s welcome news for reality television enthusiasts.
Stepping into Love Island’s time slot will be the third series of The Princess Diaries. The programme follows the life of influencer Princess Andre, tracking her “as she sets about asserting her independence and forging ahead with her career goals.”
Giving fans a glimpse of what the new episodes hold in store, Princess revealed to the Radio Times: “Well, both our [Princess and Junior’s] parents are in it, so that’s really good. You’re also going to see my beauty brand, you’re going to actually see what they look like. We also did something together… that people would like to see.”
Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. The final of Love Island Series 13 will air on July 27.
