Prince Harry ‘is no longer the Hollywood spare’ – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Prince Harry arrived in Canada alone on Wednesday, with his wife Meghan Markle remaining at home with their kids.

The Duke of Sussex traveled to Canada to commemorate Remembrance Day in Toronto. Remembrance Day is the British equivalent of Veterans Day and is marked each year on November 11.

On his trip, Harry was pictured with members of Canada’s Reserve Forces, having met with soldiers from the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada and the Royal Regiment of Canada. Body language expert Judi James commented on pictures of Harry from his trip, suggesting he seemed very comfortable carrying out the engagements.

Speaking exclusively to The Express US, James shared, “These photos show Harry in his body language ‘sweet spot’ and the message seems to be that no amount of criticism will ruin this moment of life highlight for him.”

The expert pointed to Harry’s recent essay on what it means to be British, in which the Duke of Sussex said “banter” in pubs and good-humored “self-deprecation” are among the things he loves about Britain.

“He spoke in his ‘What it is to be British’ essay about hugely old-school traits like ‘banter’ which sounded a lot more about himself and his own tastes that about life here in modern Britain,” James told us.

She continued, “His body language here suggests he’s having the full ‘banter bath’ that he craves though, immersing himself in the kind of cheeky chat with the military that he sounded so nostalgic for.

“Harry’s work with the veterans is impeccable but his body language cues here suggest he gets a lot out of it personally as well as putting a lot in. His smile here looks completely congruent and delighted as he greets the other men, often with one hand stuffed into his pocket for a relaxed and casual look.”

Harry posed for plenty of pictures with the soldiers he met. James commented, “When he sits in the group photo or poses with the men in a group chat he is no longer the ‘Hollywood spare’ but adopts poses of splayed leadership, commanding what looks like respect and adoration.”

She continued, “Then there’s the windswept boat photo that appears to restore all his action man, heroic credentials.

“For a man who has been seen posing on red carpets or taking part in some controversial social media ‘home movies’ recently this looks very much like Harry getting back to basics in terms of who he is and doing what he most loves.”

During Harry’s Canada trip, he heard all about the unique demands and rewards of Reserve service.

He met with Commander Paul Smith and Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class Andrew Payton, who gave the Duke of Sussex a rundown of how the unit is training sailors for Royal Canadian Navy operations.

Harry was also treated to demonstrations from the base’s dive team, as well as a deck team weapons display.
