Once a prominent figure at Remembrance Sunday, the former Prince Andrew, who used to join senior royals in paying solemn respects to fallen war heroes, will be absent today. Following his unceremonious removal from the official peerage by King Charles, which resulted in the permanent loss of his titles and styles, Andrew Mountbatten, previously a naval officer, will be nursing his wounds in private.
Engulfed in controversy, the wayward royal is reportedly spending his time largely alone at Royal Lodge, playing Call of Duty and “wandering around ranting to himself”. He has only a few days left to enjoy his nearly rent-free, 30-room property before he must pack his bags and say goodbye.
After Charles finally convinced his younger brother to leave – a decision Andrew had to make voluntarily due to his “iron-clad” lease – the ex-prince will be leaving the property in the New Year. Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson, who shared the Lodge with him for many years, has also been evicted. She has been instructed to make her own living arrangements, and it is understood that she will not be moving back in with Andrew.

“Nothing has changed inside Royal Lodge,” a source said. “The butler still says Your Royal Highness, and the staff still bow. Andrew’s made it clear – palace rules don’t apply inside his walls. He insists it’s his birthright – not something the King can erase.”
Andrew’s crumbling estate is apparently overflowing with countless Amazon deliveries, making any potential move an enormous undertaking.
“The Amazon deliveries that go up to Royal Lodge are unbelievable,” a source told the Daily Mail. “There are rooms full of boxes that haven’t even been opened. It will take weeks, if not months to shift all their s**** out.”
Another insider disclosed this week that Sarah and Andrew presently occupy separate wings of the vast property and are leading “separate lives” beneath one roof – yet still unite for lunch and dinner to discuss the ongoing situation and future arrangements. The source revealed to The Sun that Andrew spends considerable time “wandering” around Royal Lodge “ranting to himself,” whilst Fergie frequently finds herself “pouring her heart out” to staff or friends in “The Dog House,” an on-site bar.
“They are both spending a lot of time alone,” the insider revealed.
“Andrew rarely goes out and has been padding around the lodge and ranting and muttering.”
Fergie is reportedly “not in a good way” but considers herself “blameless” despite previously borrowing money from Epstein and describing him as a “supreme friend”, the source alleged.
“She feels she is blameless but has taken what has happened recently extremely hard. Sarah still thinks Andrew is a good person and will always support him – but she knows her future is away from him.”
The Duke formerly travelled globally as a trade envoy for Britain, but nowadays spends most hours confined indoors, engaging with video games in what observers have described as an “arrested adolescence”.
The fallen royal reportedly dedicates most of his days to a spacious lounge featuring an enormous screen that “takes up almost an entire wall”, where he plays video games or watches war films or golf broadcasts.
According to Andrew Lownie’s recent biography, Entitled, the former duke enjoys viewing “endless videos of planes taking off and landing [and] talking on his mobile for hours on end.”
The embattled Royal also dedicates time to “reading thrillers” with “his favourite book is The Talented Mr Ripley ” and partakes in a daily ritual dubbed an “air shower”.
This allegedly involves Andrew “sits by an open window or on a balcony, closes his eyes and ‘sucks in fresh air – regardless of the temperature outside’.”
An insider also claimed to Lownie that Andrew suffers from a chronic bout of sleeplessness that has persisted throughout his public downfall.
“I don’t think Andrew has slept through an entire night since he was a teenager,” the source disclosed, noting that Andrew can be extraordinarily “paranoid”.
“He’s the consummate paranoid prince, thinking everyone and their uncle is out to get him”.
Yet despite this apparent inclination towards suspicion, Andrew is also reportedly existing in complete “denial”.
A member of staff suggested he is “pretending that everything is good when he subconsciously knows that things are really bad”.
