Multi-Grammy Award-winning recording artist Bill Gaither is bringing his Love Like I’m Leaving Tour to Williamsport.

The concert, featuring the Gaither Vocal Band, will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Gateway Church, according to an announcement.

Gaither, who turned 89 in March, has been a musical trailblazer for nearly half a century. He and his wife, Gloria, have written more than 900 songs and were named ASCAP Christian Songwriters of the Century. Their Homecoming CDs and DVDs continue to top sales charts and attract a growing audience.

The Gaither Vocal Band, which includes Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles and Reggie Smith, will be joined by vocalist Ladye Love Smith, male vocalist Gene McDonald and “The Voice” winner Chris Blue. The band is comprised of Kevin Williams, Matthew Holt and Michael Rowsey.

Gaither, considered one of the oldest living musicians still actively touring, recording and performing, according to the announcement said that his desire to spread the message of hope through music keeps him going.

“I just love doing what I do, and I believe in the message in the songs,” Gaither said in the announcement. “Each night we try to create moments that will allow our audience to walk away feeling differently than when they came. That’s why we continue to do what we do. I still love it.”
