As longtime fans are no doubt aware, Rod Stewart is more than just a music icon…he’s also a father of eight children. And while not all of Stewart’s kids are following in his musical footsteps, at least one of them is definitely taking after her dad, as a video recently shared on TikTok proves.
In a clip posted by AXS TV, Rod, 80, and his daughter, Ruby Stewart, 38, sat side-by-side on comfy chairs, each with their own acoustic guitars, strumming and harmonizing as they sang “Ooh La La,” Stewart’s 1973 hit with the band Faces (which also featured Kenney Jones and Ron Wood).
“Rod Stewart singing with his daughter is one of the most beautiful things you’ll see today,” read the text overlay on the video.
Fans in the comments couldn’t get over how much Ruby looked like her dad, not to mention how amazing their voices sounded together.
“U look just like him! Also…amazing talent!!! Gen x loves you,” wrote one person.
“Omg they look so alike,” agreed a second fan, as another person declared, “Beautiful father and daughter.”
Who is Ruby Stewart?
Born in 1987, Ruby is Rod’s fourth child, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg.
Just like her dad, she’s pursuing a career in music, according to People. While she performed with country music duo The Sisterhood in the past, after the group disbanded, she began working as a solo artist and has performed alongside her dad on stage numerous times.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Ruby has also enjoyed success as a model, appearing in campaigns for Glamour Italia and Vogue Italia, among others.
In May 2023, Ruby welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Otis, with partner Jake Kalick, announcing his birth in a sweet Instagram post featuring an adorable pic of the newborn.
“This love… unlike any other love I’ve ever known…I am only a mirror of what I feel from you…I can’t remember what life was like before you…But nothing else matters now that you’re here…Your arrival into the world marks the beginning of our family…it all started with you Otis,” she wrote in the caption.
One thing is for sure: Otis will have plenty of little cousins to play with, thanks to his mom’s many siblings.
