Kaitlyn Bristowe is clearing the air about her relationship status after a now-viral video with Dancing With the Stars alum Sasha Farber raised eyebrows.
“I didn’t see the reactions, were people being like, ‘Hard launch,’ or something?” Bristowe, 40, asked Entertainment Tonight at the Tuesday, November 11, live episode of DWTS. “Sasha and I are very good friends.”
She continued, “Every time I come to L.A., I hang out with him and see him. We always dance together. I didn’t know it sent people into a [tailspin].”
Farber, 41, uploaded an Instagram video on Friday, November 7, in which he and the former Bachelorette danced in a kitchen.
“Stay forever @kaitlynbristowe,” he captioned his post.
Bristowe in response, wrote, “Stay forever he says as he kicks me out 5 mins later. Jk. Thanks for the dance lessons and FEAST.”
Neither Farber nor Bristowe further addressed the seemingly flirty dance, which didn’t stop fans — and fellow DWTS alums — from wanting answers.
“Ummmmm ok 🔥,” Peta Murgatroyd wrote, as Sharna Burgess added, “Ohhhhh I absolutely thought this was a hard launch 👀 Is it? It is right? Please tell me it is!!”
While speaking with ET on Tuesday, Bristowe stressed that she is “not dating” Farber.
“[We’re] great friends,” she said. “I love him so much and [we’re] not dating, no.”

Bristowe has recently been romantically linked to Tayshia Adams’ ex-fiancé, Zac Clark, but has not publicly disclosed her dating status.
“Privacy is so hot, like, I am turned on by being private. There’s something really special and sacred about it,” Bristowe exclusively told Us Weekly in August. “Obviously, I had two very public relationships, and I’m an over-sharer and an open book, and it’s very hard to not share certain things of my life, but it feels so right.”
Bristowe was previously engaged to Shawn Booth, whom she met on her season 11 of The Bachelorette, for three years before they split in 2018. Bristowe moved on with fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartick and they got engaged in 2021. The pair called it quits in 2023.
“Relationships from Bachelor franchise or people online, like, it starts to feel a bit performative at times,” Bristowe told Us of her new affinity for keeping her love life under wraps. “I feel like that was where it was going for me last time, and it did not feel good. This time around, I’m like, ‘Look, I just turned 40. I am in the best place of my life in every aspect — personally, professionally, spiritually, in a good place, and protecting my peace can come with some privacy.’ And I’m into it.”
As for Farber, he was previously married to DWTS pro Emma Slater from 2018 to 2022. Since their divorce, they’ve remained on amicable terms.
“We really are close friends,” Slater, 36, told Us in June 2024. “He’s somebody who’s in my life forever. It’s a true genuine connection and he’s the best person, just absolutely amazing. We just get on really, really well.”
Slater has since started dating fellow pro Alan Bersten, while Farber briefly dated his season 33 partner, ex-Bachelorette Jenn Tran, last year.
