‘Witch Hat Atelier’ Trailer Has Arrived

A nearly decade-old manga is getting the anime treatment.

After being announced in 2022, a stunning new trailer has arrived for Witch Hat Atelier — a series following a young girl named Coco who wishes she was a witch. The clip gives fans an early glimpse at Coco, who first appeared in Kamome Shirahama’s manga series of the same name, which debuted back in 2016.

Among the voice cast, Rena Motomura will voice Coco, while Natsuki Henae will take on Qifrey, her witchy mentor, per Crunchyroll.

The series is set to arrive in the U.S. via Crunchyroll in April 2026.

‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ Will Debut New Movie Before Season 4

As viewers of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime await its fourth season, the anime is now satisfying appetites with a new movie.

Coming Feb. 27, 2026 in Japanese theaters and sometime later in the year in the U.S., That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea will feature a seaside adventure for Rimuru and his companions, as a new trailer shows.

They’re “invited by the Celestial Emperor Hermesia of the great elven nation – the Magi Dynasty Salion – to visit her private resort island” for a vacation, reads an official synopsis per Crunchyroll. “A new incident unfolds against the backdrop of the boundless azure sea.”

‘The Keeper of the Camphor Tree’ Reveals Its First Trailer

Yet another first look at an upcoming anime was revealed this week: a hauntingly beautiful trailer for The Keeper of the Camphor Tree (known in Japan as Kusunoki no Bannin).

Per Crunchyroll, the film based on the Keigo Higashino novel will debut in Japan on Jan. 30, 2026.

English-speaking fans will have to wait for a theatrical release, but an English edition of Higashino’s novel is coming in June 2026. The story centers on a mysterious and ancient tree at a shrine, and the young man who must agree to become its keeper.

‘My Hero Academia’ Star Says There’s Room for ‘Several More Movies’

My Hero Academia fans might have more movies in store if it’s up to the voice cast.

David Matranga, the English voice of Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, isn’t ruling out the potential for more feature films. In a new interview with Screen Rant, the voice actor said there “absolutely” could be more in store following the release of My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next in October 2024. “I think there’s not just room for another movie — there’s room for several,” Matranga, who has been portraying the character since 2016, said.

“Horikoshi has created such a rich world and such deeply developed characters that there are endless stories left to tell,” he told the outlet. “They could take a break for a few years and come back with a new manga, or a sequel series, or even a limited spinoff.”

Matranga added, “Personally, I’ve always wanted to see something like a short-form vignette series — like a six-episode arc focusing on specific characters. Anime doesn’t usually do that, but I think My Hero would be perfect for it. There’s just so much depth in these characters — the world could easily support more stories.”
