The Avett Brothers family just expanded.

Scott and Seth welcomed Mike Patton of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle into the fold for their upcoming ‘AVTT PTTN Tour’ that will send the three of them to venues all over North America from April through June 2026.

That includes stops at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on Friday, June 12 and Lewiston, NY’s Artpark Mainstage Theater on Tuesday, June 16.

All shows come in support of the co-headliners’ collaborative, nine-song debut album “AVTT PTTN,” which was released on Nov. 14.

If you’d like to see the trio of troubadours live, tickets are available for every one of their 22 spring ’26 concerts.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on inventory for any one show was $86 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Other Avett-Patton non-festival gigs start anywhere between $102 to $289 including fees.

In the event you’re curious about what these live shows will look like, the Avett Brothers addressed fans questions in a lengthy, live Q&A on Instagram.

To start, they jokingly confirmed that “yes, the full band will be there for better or worse…there will [probably a lot of different instruments played.”

As for what songs will be performed, well, that seems to still be up in the air. The brothers confirmed that the three are probably going to perform all nine songs from the record “plus…a lot of things…Avett songs for sure….possibly songs from Mike’s catalog as well.”

There’s also a possibility they’ll cover each other’s songs as well.

“…what’s exciting about it is the unknown,” Seth said. “…it’s bound to make something brand new.”

Before it all goes down, Seth, Scott and Mike will lend their talents to Knoxville, TN’s 2026 Big Ears Festival alongside Robert Plant, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson and more.

Can’t wait for these seemingly unpredictable live shows?

We’re here to help, Avett Guild.

Big Ears Festival 2026

As noted above, the Avett Brothers and Mike Patton are lending their talents to 2026’s star-studded Big Ears Festival.

Set to take place March 26-29 at Knoxville, TN’s Tennessee Theatre, they’ll be joined by big-name headliners like the aforementioned Plant, Byrne and Anderson as well as Richard Thompson, Flying Lotus, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, MJ Lenderman and Deerhoof.

If you’d like to be there, single and multi-day Big Ears Festival passes can be found here.

Avett Brothers new music

On Nov. 14, Avett Brothers and Mike Patton released the nine-track “AVTT PTTN.”

The earthy record evokes warm feelings of being gathered around a campfire. Unassuming yet anthemic, uplifting yet melancholy, the collaborators complement each other well.

This is certainly evidenced by the gritty, gentle rocker “Dark Night of My Soul,” which opens the record. Hearing the three men harmonize isn’t just powerful; it just may stir the dark night of your own soul.

Other highlights here include the twangy heartbreaker “To Be Known,” groovy rocker “Heaven’s Breath” (which just might be the funkiest thing the Avetts have ever released) and gorgeous mountain man epic “Disappearing.”

Make sure to stick around for the spaced-out stetch in the middle of “Eternal Love,” too. It’s trippy, groovy and will take you from the campfire to feeling like you’re staring at a billion stars. What a ride.

To hear for yourself, you can find “AVTT PTTN” here.

PS: “The Ox Driver’s Song” couldn’t sound less like The Avett Brothers’ previous output. Just muscly, raucous country rock. My goodness, we can’t wait to hear this one live.

Folk-rockers on tour in 2025
