Frozen 3 & 4 will bring the most expensive princesses and snowmen back into Disney’s snowy world.
According to The Wrap, Kristen Bell (Princess Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf), and Idina Menzel (Elsa), have each signed a landmark deal worth $60 million to return to Frozen 3 and Frozen 4, which are being shot simultaneously. This includes nearly $20M upfront and the remainder being tied to the movies’ box office performance. Notably, this potential pay doubles the lead stars’ salary from the $15M they received for Frozen 2.

Interestingly, this unprecedented move makes the deal one of the most lucrative payout deals in animated film history, and even in cinematic history in general. For comparison, Robert Downey Jr. charged $20 million for Avengers: Endgame, which ultimately rose to $75 million after box office profit sharing. Tom Cruise pocketed $12.5 to $13 million, with total earnings ballooning to over $100 million after box-office profits.
This significant pay reflects Disney’s unwavering trust in the franchise. And why not? The 2013 Frozen roared at the global box office, earning $1.28 billion worldwide. Following in its footsteps, Frozen 2 performed even better, raking in $1.4 billion, with the two films together generating over $2 billion.
Frozen 3 is slated to hit theaters on November 24, 2027.
