Keith Urban’s recent divorce from Nicole Kidman certainly has fans talking — but one in particular says Urban revealed the news himself weeks before it went public.
Dale Whiteside, a Canadian fan who bears an uncanny resemblance to Urban, told TMZ on Friday, November 21, that he had a strange exchange with the country legend at a VIP meet-and-greet at the singer’s September 15 High and Alive tour stop in Saskatoon.
According to Whiteside, Urban was stunned by how much they looked alike. As the two chatted, the doppelgänger mentioned to the star that people often compare them — except when they notice he has no wedding ring. He joked that Urban’s ring and tattoos are what help people tell them apart. But as the meet-and-greet wrapped, Urban allegedly made a remark that now feels loaded: “Next time, it’ll probably be just the tattoos.”
Whiteside didn’t understand the remark at the time. But two weeks later, news broke that Urban and Kidman, both 58, were separated — and days after that, Kidman officially filed for divorce. While it could be a coincidence, the timing of it all definitely makes sense.

Since the divorce announcement, Urban’s onstage emotions have only added fuel to the fire. A viral clip from a recent performance of his 2002 breakup song “You’ll Think of Me” had fans convinced he was directing anger at Kidman. Urban altered a lyric — singing “Take your space and all your stupid bulls**t reasons” instead of the original “Take your space and take your reasons” — prompting fans to say he was “obviously angry” and “crashing out” about the breakup.
Urban, however, shut down the rumors at a later Nashville show. Before performing the song, he addressed the crowd directly: “I’ve been covering like this for a long time. Stop reading into it.”
At this time, Urban has not returned Parade’s request for comment.
