Disneyland’s Asian-inspired food festival that pays tribute to Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean traditions will celebrate the Year of the Horse with a lineup of multicultural live entertainment and Disney characters dressed in festive attire.

The 2026 Lunar New Year event will run from Jan. 23 through Feb. 22 at Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland has also teased appearances by Pixar characters from “Turning Red” that tells the story of an exuberant, ambitious and overachieving 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian girl who turns into a giant red panda when she gets too excited.

“Turning Red” protagonist Meilin Lee and her mother, Ming Lee, have appeared at past Disney Lunar New Year events. The 4*Town boy band along with Mei’s friends Miriam, Priya and Abby have appeared on the Better Together parade float.

In past years, Raya from Disney’s 2021 “Raya and the Last Dragon” animated movie has made appearances in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area of DCA.

Disney has not yet announced an official lineup of festival marketplace booths, restaurants and menu items for the 2026 festival.

Recent lineups of the six festival marketplace booths have included Bamboo Blessings, Wrapped in Love, Lucky 8 Lantern, Red Dragon Spice Traders, Prosperity Bao & Bun and Longevity Noodle Co.

DCA restaurants that offered Lunar New Year menu items in recent years have included Aunt Cass Cafe, Award Wieners, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, Hollywood Lounge, Lamplight Lounge, Paradise Garden Grill and Sonoma Terrace.

Sip and Savor passes that allow visitors to purchase a prepaid card with digital coupons good for individual items at food and beverage stands throughout the festival have been offered during recent Lunar New Year events.

During past festivals, the 6-minute “Hurry Home” introduction to the “World of Color” water show has told the story of a little lantern’s journey home for a Lunar New Year celebration.

Live music is typically performed daily throughout the festival. Previous performances have featured classical and contemporary Chinese instruments, Vietnamese folk dancers and Korean-American a cappella singers at Paradise Garden and Sonoma Terrace.
