The Vermont native has repeatedly teased the album’s release on social media and launched a pre-sale website this week.

Noah Kahan must have realized that his fellow New Englanders needed a pick-me-up in the middle of stick season.

Aside from last year’s live album culled from two shows at Fenway Park, the Vermont native hasn’t released a new album since 2022’s “Stick Season.” However, fans who have lost hope for a new album may now have a new perspective.

During a benefit concert at MGM Music Hall at Fenway last month, Kahan revealed that his new album was “officially done.” He performed three unreleased songs, including one called “Deny, Deny, Deny,” which he confirmed is a part of the new project.

Building on that buzz, a pre-save link for Spotify and Apple Music appeared Tuesday on Kahan’s official website. There’s no detailed information about what’s being released or when, but it’s a surefire sign that some new songs are on the horizon.

Kahan again teased a new project in a video posted to a secret TikTok account with the username “thelastofthebugs.” While the caption references the opening lyrics of Kahan’s song “The View Between Villages,” the audio seems to be from an unreleased song.

“you weren’t supposed to find this…” the video reads. “only the last of the bugs ever do”

In yet another reference to the upcoming album, Kahan shared an audio clip from an unreleased song Wednesday in an Instagram reel. With the caption “gorilla marketing,” he was apparently poking fun at the high anticipation for his new project.

No released date has been confirmed for the new album yet, and Kahan said in an Instagram livestream Tuesday that he’s “not allowed to say when it’s coming out or anything like that.”

“I know people have been waiting, and I really appreciate your patience,” Kahan said during the stream. “Thank you for not forgetting about me.”
