Inevitably, when awards season rolls around each year, we’re looking at snubs and snubs galore. (I still haven’t forgiven the Oscars for snubbing Pam Anderson last year.) This morning, when the 2026 Golden Globe nominations were announced, there were certainly plenty of snubs, from Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston in the acting categories to Wicked: For Good in the Best Picture category.
But when I watched actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall announce the noms earlier today, I was only listening for four names in particular. These four names would determine (for me) whether the Golden Globes got it right or the Golden Globes got it totally wrong this year. The result? They mostly got it right.
Here, three names that absolutely needed to appear on the nominations list that do in fact appear, and one name that needed to appear that somehow didn’t make the cut.
