Police were called to Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme pop-up shop after chaos descended with a huge crowd of fans.
The actor, 29, currently stars in movie Marty Supreme as a young man who pursues his dream of becoming a champion table-tennis player.
And to promote the film, Timothée set up a pop-up shop in Los Angeles on Monday to sell merchandise such as the now-viral Marty Supreme sell jacket, which retails for £190 but online has resold for up to $4,000.
Fans reportedly started queuing for the merch sale on Sunday – despite it not kicking off until the following day.
But the crew grew so large that the police were called, with the arriving officers even requesting back up.
In a clip of the chaos, the queue is seen spreading all the way down the road and round the corner as fans waited for hours to get their hands on the products.

A woman was then seen coming out and shouting: ‘If you don’t have a ticket, you’re not getting in. You’re welcome to stay in line, we will not let you in unless you have a ticket.
Unhappy fans were then seen shouting as others tried to push past, with staff eventually bringing out barriers to contain the queue.
The LAPD told TMZ that ‘officers responded to a large group at 1:53 PM, and when officers arrived, they requested additional units’.
However the police eventually left with no arrests made and the merch sale allowed to continue.
Elsewhere on Monday, Timothée put on a loved-up display with Kylie Jenner as she joined him at the premiere of Marty Supreme.
The beauty mogul, 28, and the actor quashed ongoing split rumours as they cosied up to each other on the red carpet.
The mum-of-two sizzled in a jaw-dropping orange Chrome Hearts dress with a plunging neckline that drew attention to her ample cleavage.
The form-fitting dress featured side cut-outs and she accessorised it with chunky silver cross chains.
Meanwhile Timothée matched her in an orange leather Chrome Hearts suit and boots. The Oscar-nominated star — who plays champion table tennis player Marty Mauser in his latest film — also wore a Chrome Hearts ping pong paddle crossbody holder.

The two proved they are still very much in love after not being seen together in several weeks, which led to speculation that they have gone their separate ways.
The couple held hands as they posed for photographers, with Timothée sweetly wrapping his arm around Kylie.
Afterwards, Kylie was spotted at The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood. She was joined by pal Anastasia ‘Stassie’ Karanikolaou, but Timothée was not seen with her.
Kylie and Timothée have previously not been seen together since October 8, when they were in the stands watching the New York Yankees play the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium.
As breakup rumours swirled last month, a new profile ran of Timothée in which he dodged inquiries into his relationship with Kylie.
He flatly declared that he ‘will not talk about’ the romance, adding: ‘I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,’ via Vogue.
Kylie and Timothée were first linked in April 2023 and went public that September when they were seen passionately kissing at a Beyoncé concert.

The millennial lovebirds – whose mutual friend is designer Haider Ackermann – met as far back as 2019 at Nobu Malibu.
Although they have not shied away from being glimpsed together in public, they have kept their relationship off social media and she has refrained from mentioning his name on her family’s Hulu show, The Kardashians.
Claims have circulated that their relative privacy about their romance was because Timothée wanted to be regarded as a serious actor.
Yet this summer, they were repeatedly spotted together at the front row of basketball games to watch his beloved New York Knicks play.
And in May, the pair walked the red carpet together for the first time before attending the 70th David Di Donatello Awards at Rome’s iconic Cinecitta Studios.
