The vocal synth library now includes over 140 AI voice models, up from the previous version’s more limited selection. New additions span genres, from rap and pop to kids’ choir and country vocals. Language support has expanded to eight languages total—English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese—making the platform considerably more accessible to international producers.
ACE Studio’s instrument library has grown through contributions from professional musicians. New additions include violins, violas, cellos, saxophones from Bob Magnuson and Carlo Alfonso, trumpet from Xiaochuan Li, and a duduk. These AI instruments generate realistic performances from MIDI data, bypassing the need for traditional recording sessions while maintaining expressive control over articulation and phrasing.
Three new generative AI kits debut in version 2.0: “Inspire Me,” “Music Enhancer,” and “Add a Layer.” Beyond generating samples, loops, and additional parts, these tools are designed to refine rough ideas into more developed musical pieces. How effectively they bridge the gap between a concept and a completed song will likely depend on how producers integrate them into their existing creative process.
Version 2.0 also brings improvements to ACE Studio’s stem splitter, vocal-to-MIDI conversion, and the ACE Bridge plugin for DAW integration. These refinements aim to reduce friction points in the production process, particularly when moving between ACE Studio and other software.
ACE Studio operates by generating singing vocals and instrumental performances from MIDI data, lyrics, and text descriptions. Users can select from royalty-free AI voice models or create custom models from their own samples. The platform offers detailed control over vocal characteristics, including emotion, pitch, and timing, with direct integration into major DAWs.
The update is available now through ACE Studio’s website and authorised resellers worldwide in two editions: ACE Studio Artist Pro and ACE Studio Artist. System requirements include macOS 13 or above and Windows 10 or above. Existing users can download the update directly from the ACE Studio.
