Princess Beatrice will not be spending Christmas with her shamed father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor this year, it has been reported.
After the former prince was stripped of his royal titles over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Beatrice plans to enjoy the festive season abroad.
She reportedly faced a tricky decision after being invited to Andrew and Sarah’s celebrations at the Windsor mansion before they are forced to leave, and joining the King and the rest of the royal family at Sandringham.
However, the 37-year-old princess has decided to turn down both to “avoid embarrassment” and instead is opting to go skiing with her husband, Edo Mapelli Mozzi, and friends, The Sun reported.

Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, faces a similar dilemma and has not confirmed where she will go for Christmas, although she is expected to spend it with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
An insider said of Andrew: “With everything that’s gone on he’s very much like the Grinch. It’s clear this year that festive cheer is in short supply.”
This year will mark the first time since Andrew moved in 20 years ago that he has not put up decorations outside Royal Lodge, the Sun said.
Usually, his property has two festive wreaths outside and a Christmas tree on the roof, all of which are notably absent this year.

It is understood that Beatrice confided in friends that she was “tormented” by the “tug” between her options: staying at Sandringham or returning to her ostracized parents at Royal Lodge.
According to the Sun, one loyal friend said: “Beatrice doesn’t want to cause any embarrassment and was torn between loyalty to the King and her parents.
“That is why with Eugenie, they went to Buckingham Palace for the pre-Christmas family lunch.
“She appreciates the way that the King and William have looked after her during everything that has been happening with Andy and Sarah.

“She didn’t want it to look like they were snubbing anyone, so it was easier to go off with friends.”
This year will be the family’s last Christmas at Royal Lodge after they were turfed out over the mounting Epstein scandal in October.
The family was given a year to move out, and the logistics of moving may mean it could take many more months.
Andrew’s new life will be funded by the king, including his new home on the Sandringham estate.
